Hey ya'll! It's been awhile since I've posted a blog. Life has been crazy and unfortunately I fell behind on my blog posting. I'm so sorry! But the good news is, I never stopped thinking and writing myself notes about topics to blog about so I'll be more consistent moving forward! For this post, I want to reintroduce myself and give you an update on what's been going on my life!

As you may or may not know, I've been leading praise and worship on Sundays at my church in St. Louis, MO for the past 2 years (give or take a few months). This past January, I was given the opportunity to lead an amazing group of people on Wednesday nights as well. Leading this group has taught me so much about myself as a leader, a teacher, and a worshipper. It's amazing how the Lord prepares you for things that you didn't even know you were being prepared for. So many things I've observed and learned from leaders I've sat under I'm now having to use, and I thank God everyday that I had those experiences. He's allowing me to apply everything I've learned so far to this season of my life. I'll definitely be writing and sharing more about my #Worship experiences with this team!

I will have been married to the amazing man you see pictured for 2 years this coming July. My husband is the Worship Arts and Media Pastor at our church. He also plays the piano and/or organ each week. He works tirelessly to make sure that the music and media is the best it can possibly be.
On January 4th we found out we were expecting. On April 30th, we found out we're having a GIRL! In September, she will finally make her debut. She is our first child and the first grandchild on both sides of our families. Please keep us lifted up in prayer! Haha! She is going to be spoiled rotten! So well loved and taken care of too! Even in the womb, she's very active and loves music. I told my husband as soon as she can sit up on her own, she needs to be right next to him on the piano learning the number system and how to play. She'll definitely be the topic of many blogs in #theFamilyChronicles!

I'm not sure if I shared this in a previous post or not, but also in January I started taking voice and piano lessons! I thought that taking lessons was a sign of weakness or something to be ashamed of, but I've learned that it isn't. It's something to be proud of. To say that you recognize that you have a talent or a passion for something and want to know more about it and how to get better at it is something to be commended! I'll share with you in future posts about how things are progressing.

Also in January (I didn't realize so many new things happened in January until this post!), I enrolled in WorshipU which is an online worship school community offered by Bethel Music. They offer lectures/sessions on various topics and assessments pertaining to worship. I figured if leading worship is what I have been given to do then I need to learn all that I can about it!
Well, I think you're all caught up on my life. I can't wait to share more with you about my journey to #Becoming! Be sure to subscribe so you never miss a blog post, and follow me on all social media sites for the most recent updates.
